Respond II is a compilation to benefit RESPOND Incorporated and the Family Violence Prevention Fund. RESPOND, Inc. was one of the first programs in the United States to offer shelter and assistance to victims of domestic violence. The Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) is the nation's premiere organization working to prevent abuse.

The Respond II compilation is an effort by dozens of volunteers who donated their services in order to raise as much money as possible for the benefiting organizations. Thanks to all of the artists, managers, record labels, and publishers who worked to donate these wonderful songs to Respond II. Thanks also goes to those who contributed legal services, mastering, graphic design, artwork, advice, publicity, web design, production, administration, and record label support. Special thanks to everyone who made financial contributions to the Respond II effort.

To order copies of Respond II, call 1-800-694-5354 or visit the Signature Sounds website at www.signaturesounds.com, or visit your local record store.

RESPOND, Inc. has been working to end domestic violence since 1974. RESPOND sees domestic violence as a human rights issue. The agency's mission is to help women free themselves and their children from abusive situations, to empower survivors of domestic violence to advocate for themselves and their children and to engage in preventative activities that lessen the incidence of violence. RESPOND serves thousands of women each year through its 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, safe home program, individual and group counseling sessions, children's services and outreach, including a teen dating violence intervention program. Services are provided in Spanish, English, French and Haitian Creole. A portion of the proceeds from CD sales will go to RESPOND's children's service programs.

The Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) is building a powerful movement to end abuse in the U.S. and around the world. The FVPF is the nation's premiere organization working to prevent domestic violence, was a driving force behind the Violence Against Women Act, and continues to fight for measures to keep women and children safe. During its 20-year history, the FVPF has pioneered dozens of innovative strategies, fighting every day to help women, children, immigrants and low-income workers, and to support non-governmental organizations around the world.

With The Advertising Council, the FVPF created the first public education campaign ever designed to end abuse. There's No Excuse for Domestic Violence reached millions of Americans with powerful messages about prevention and intervention. A new campaign, Coaching Boys Into Men, for the first time invites men to teach boys that violence against women is wrong. The principle underlying all the FVPF's work is that every person has the right to live in a home free of violence. A portion of the proceeds from CD sales will go to FVPF's Children's Welfare program. Learn more at www.endabuse.org.
